Bodywork can be an important part of helping your baby optimally feed. Bodywork means any time some one is physically using their hands to touch your baby to bring back symmetry or optimize strength, range of motion, or coordination in your baby's body. Bodywork includes physical therapy, occupational therapy, chiropractic, craniosacral therapy, massage, etc.

The uterus is a cramped place. Some times baby can prefer one position in utero and come out with a head turn preference. Or they may get stuck in the birth canal during birth and have muscle tension. They may have had a vacuum assisted birth and have the muscles of the head, neck and face pulled and strained. All of these contribute to difficulties latching at one or both sides of the breast. All of these reasons can be addressed using bodywork.
